My research is focused on the investigation of the electronic and transport properties of nanomaterials, mostly 2D materials, by means of Density Functional Theory- (DFT) based simulations. With the aim of studying realistic materials, I paid special attention to the role of defects, strain and the impact of the underlying substrate.
