Mattia Bramini is Ramón y Cajal Senior Researcher at the Department of Cell Biology. He obtained a PhD in Bionanointeractions from the CBNI, School of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, University College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland). As a post-doc, he joined the Center for Synaptic Neuroscience and Technology (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Genova, Italy), focusing on possible biomedical applications of graphene-related materials in neurobiology. Since 2021, he is a member of the Neurobiology Group (BIO-178) and co-Team Leader of the BioThera Lab (Biomaterials for Theranostics Applications), a highly interdisciplinary group dedicated to the development of nanomaterials and biomaterials for therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
