Ha presentado trabajos en más de cincuenta congresos internacionales, incluyendo aquellos más importantes del área como Academy of Management Conference, Strategic Management Society Conference, Production and Operations Management Society Conference (POMS), EUROMA y otros de referencia nacional como el Congreso anual de ACEDE. Dos artículos presentados en congresos internacionales recibieron el premio como mejores artículos de los mismos. Associate editor de la International Journal of Operations and Production Management Journal. Review Co-chair del 8th European Decision Sciences Institute Conference (2017) y presidente del Comité Científico del I Congreso Internacional sobre RSC y Gestión Deportiva (2014). En el año 2012 recibió el premio extraordinario de doctorado. Investigador Principal en cuatro proyectos del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad y dos de la Junta de Andalucía, e Investigador colaborador en diferentes proyectos de investigación. Colaborador con empresas y organizaciones nacionales e internacionales para la trasferencia de conocimiento. Ha realizado estancias en centros de investigación internacionales de reconocido prestigio: City University of London (Reino Unido, 2023); City University of New York (EEUU, 2019, 2020); University of New England (Australia, 2018); Aarhus University (Dinamarca, 2014); Vrije University of Amsterdam (Países Bajos, 2013); University of Texas Pan-American (EEUU, 2007).
